“I personally have had to go to the doctor after being bit around my eyes by these black flies. My eyes swell up and I have to get medication. You cannot imagine what it is like to wake up with your eyes swollen shut from these flies. Also at the school bus stop they are constantly flying and biting the adults as well as the children. We cannot walk outside for 10 minutes without being attacked by them. It is a very bad quality of life. Considering selling my house.” – DH, Rising Sun

“I have lived here since 1980 and there were a couple of years when the flies seemed less, but now they are the work ever and each year more and more. I have to wear a gnat hat to go into my yard. I am unable to have parties or friends in the yard.
